Episode 96. The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum.

It was a bleak old day yesterday, and as my two little monsters were bored of sitting at home I decided that we would take a trip to the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum. Of course, no sooner did we get there than the sun decided to make an appearance, but it was too late, we were there, so in we went! Despite owning motorcycles in the past I must admit I'm not much of a motorcyclist, and I know very little about them, However, I know what I like. As it was raining when we left home, and the museum is located just 36 miles from BelongaClint we piled into the Daewoo, and headed off west towards the New Forest.

Sammy Miller himself is a motorcycling legend. He was 11 times British Champion, and the winner of over 1400 events and he's still winning competitions more than 50 years after his first victory.  The museum is set within an attractive courtyard, with tea rooms, craft shops and children's play area around the perimeter. The Museum houses over 400 rare and classic motorcycles on display in four galleries, and is one of the finest collections of fully restored motorcycles in the world. Exhibits include factory racers and exotic prototypes, and the collection constantly evolves as new bikes are acquired. Admission prices were quite reasonable, and we took a good part of the day to meander around all the exhibits. Should you feel the need to have a look around, and if you have even the slightest passing interest in motorcycles and have time on you hands, then you should the museum is located at Bashley Cross Roads, New Milton, Hampshire, BH25 5SZ.

Now, no more words for now, only pictures...

Thanks for looking!
