Episode 19. Ford StreetKa. GJ04 HZH. (part 1).

To continue on from where I left off on my bit of babble about my first StreetKa called desire, here's the first fill shot...

In time no doubt this will become known as the famous first fill shot! Well, that is if I mangage to keep my blog going for long enough! So what can I tell you about my latest StreetKa? Well, for a start it is rather bright!!? Lets just say that I've not lost it in any car parks lol, of course the aerial topper does help to make it stand out a bit!

Although I do think that this thing must've belonged to Mavis Pruitt from Willow The Wisp, I can't help feeling she'll be around soon to take her wand back!

Having said that, I'm starting to resemble Mavis Pruitt! But nevermind that, I'm way past caring what I look like, or how I look when I'm driving my little car. It's not like its my only car, and personally I think it fits into my collection of crap rather nicely! To tell you the truth, like I've said before they are genuinely fantastic to drive. They're not fast or anything like that, but they are very light and nimble, they handle like a little cart, and infact, I reckon that they're probably as much fun to drive as the proper Mini. There's a lot to be said for these little things, and once you get past the fact that they're a bit of a girls car, they're actually really rather good! Mind you, the colour seems to be the source of much debate amoungst my friends, plus, by all account the StreetKa is ugly. Well, i can remember having this debate about the original Ka with a work mate and friend many moons ago when they first hit the street. He thought that they looked like some kind of ugly bug, and to an extent I agree that they do (to me atleast) resemble a bug of some sort, but he bug that I see is a Ladybird, and in my little opinion the Ladybird isn't an ugly bug at all, but then, remember...

To me, 'tiz a thing of beauty, and I havn't even had any beer! Ok, I'll admit that yellow is not a particularly well-loved color, infact in a (not very recent) survey, only 6% of people who responded to the survey carried out in Europe and America named it as their favorite color (I am in that 6%). However according to surveys in Europe, Canada, and the United States, yellow is the color people most often associate with amusement, gentleness, and spontaneity! Therefore it's perfect for the StreetKa!

Besides, Yellow is the colour of spring... And as it's spring(ish) OK, it's late summer, but I can pretend when I'm out and about in it with the roof down! Look at me I'm all out first and yellow! Another benefit of the StreetKa being all yellow is that yellow is the most visible color from a distance, so it is often used for objects that need to be seen, such as road maintenance equipment, school buses and taxicabs. When you're out blezzing through the countryside in a little tin can not much bigger than a rollerskate, you want to be seen... Probably no good if you driving through fields planted with Rape though! Mind you, I have thought about peeling the vinyl wrap off it, but then it would look like this...

Yep, that one on the left is actually my first StreetKa which I owned and enjoyed back in 2015. I saw it parked by the road the other day so I thought I'd take a photo. As much as I liked my first one, and I really did, I think that this one is far better, despite being Matte Yellow! One thing I do find a bit intersting however is the interior of it. So heres a few shots of it, it's not so much that it's Yellow inside or anything like that, it's just...

Steering wheel...

Floor mats...

Seatbelts and seats! I really had no idea that you could buy so much Wasp themed tat for your car! I can maybe understand why this particular car has it.

But why would anyone else want a wasp themed car? Why would anyone produce such a product? I can understand you might want Bees, but Wasps? Who likes them, they're just nasty assholes with wings and a sting in the tail! I just don't get it! Maybe there's gonna be a sting in the tail of this? But with Mavis Pruitt clearly being it's last owner, and the fact that she's left her wand on it, i really doubt there will be anything bad about this little beauty!
