Episode 1. Intro.

Like many of you guys and girls out there, I have a small collection of cars, and occaisionally a small collection of motorcycles, and I have been thinking about doing some sort of blog about it all. This I am doing for no other reason really than to help me to remember what I had, and what I did when I was younger. So that when I'm old(er) there will be documentation that I will be able to re-visit whilst I am dribbling into my Cornflakes in some old folks home or something! I've written various threads on various forums over the years, some have been well recieved, and some have not, but for the most part I have enjoyed writing about the things I have been driving. This will not be so much about building cars or bikes, as I havn't really got the time or talent to build a car or even a bike. However I like to tinker with them, and tinkering and fettling my cars is what I enjoy! I cannot weld, mainly because whenever I weld the flashing of the welder makes me feel very odd. I also will often farm out mechanical jobs to my local mechanic, this is due to the fact that often I just don't have the time to do it, besides, he'd do a better job than me faster than I would, and as I'd rather play with my two little monsters instead, oh, and also because I'm bone idle! This should be more like a blog of tales about living with my little collection, think about it like Clints Adventures In Car-Land... Perhaps that should be the title of this blog of babble! I plan to write about my cars, bikes, the shows I've been to, and maybe some retrospective stuff about cars and bikes that I've owned in the past. To be honest, I'm not sure that I will be writing anything worth reading, or following, but there you go, I shall try to put up a few pictures to break up the monotony of my writing though.

So then, you may be wondering what is in my collection of vehicles? I am very lucky in a way as expensive things like supercars don't really do it for me, don't get me wrong, there are a few on my wish list, just not that many!  If it's got wheels and an engine, I can usually get into it! My dream cars are not the kind of car that most people think of when they think of dream cars, my collection does tend to evolve, and I have quite eclectic tastes. I am currently lucky enough to own several of my dream cars! Currently my toybox contains a 2005 Mustang (my daily!), a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, a 2005 Chevrolet LUV pick up, a 1979 Volvo 262c, a 1978 Mitsubishi Celeste, a 1979 Chrysler Alpine, a 1984 Vauxhall Carlton estate, a 1932 Ford roadster pick up, a 2000 Jaguar S-type, a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am, a 2004 Proton Jumbuck, a 1978 Toyota Celica, to name but a few! Oh, and this little Ford StreetKa...

Seen here getting its first fill in my care. This, perhaps sadly is a good example of one of my dream cars! You might think that isn't much of a dream car, but it is attainable, and really good fun to drive! This is probably where I will start my ramblings and pointless views, but we shall see, anything could pop into my little mind, and at any time, so who knows what I'll write next... Time will tell!
